Gary Barg:
I’ve noticed over the past couple of
years a marked increase in the
amount of emails or calls we receive
regarding hepatitis C. Is
hepatitis C really that prevalent in
America?
Naomi Judd:
It will kill four times as many
Americans as AIDS will over the next
decade. I feel that whatever kind of
ability God has given me, as an
entertainer and as a public figure,
it is so I can be a representative
for others.
GB:
I think your book, Naomi’s
Breakthrough Guide: 20 Choices to
Transform Your Life, really speaks
to the issue of how important it is
for caregivers to take charge of
their situation. I agree with
that wholeheartedly, and think we
also become more aware of our own
strength. What other advice would
you have for family...read more

Hiring Private Duty Home Care Workers:
Why Work through an Agency?
By Rona S. Bartelstone, LCSW, BCD, CMC

Relax
by the Staff at Caregiver Media Group
People -- sometimes friends, relatives, helpful technicians at the doctor's office, concerned co-workers-- are always telling us, "reduce your stress, sweetie, and you'll feel better." Sort of like "Have a nice day!" After a while, the urge to strangle the next person who says it becomes more than a passing fancy...read

Came across your Web site trying to
organize my life and figure out what to do. Been caregiving
since late 1980s. Wife got MS, then Dad got sick, then Mom
got sick. Been caregiving so long, I can't believe it. I've
had days when I felt my head will explode from the pressure.
Now I am in foreclosure. Losing our home. Had to file for
bankruptcy. All senior residences in our area are booked.
Wife is bedridden. Just looking for some good direction
before we are pushed into the street. Sincerely,
Tired Tony
