Are You Caregiver Friendly?
by Gary Barg
QUESTION: What do the producers of a
self lifting commode, an exercise video, and a book for
children dealing with family illness have in common?
ANSWER: The fact that they can all announce to the world
that they have produced a product or service that is
deemed worthy of being called Caregiver Friendly.
For the past three years, we have honored those who have
produced products, services, books and media designed
with the needs of the caregiver in mind. The Caregiver
Friendly Award winners are honored at our Fort
Lauderdale conference, within the pages of Today’s
Caregiver magazine and on caregiver.com, and the
responses of the caregivers have been extremely
gratifying to these award winners.
The search for the 2005 Caregiver Friendly Award winners
is coming to an end; make sure your products or programs
are in the mix. It is always a true pleasure to see the
nominations flow into the office every year. The
creativity, vision, hard work and dedication are obvious
in almost every entry, which of course, always makes the
selection process a difficult challenge for the judges.
For me, the joy is to see that so many organizations,
inventors and entrepreneurs are diligently toiling in
their studios and garages with only one thing in mind –
“How can I make life better for caregivers across the
globe”. In my mind, that makes each and every nomination
a winner.
Good luck to all who enter and on behalf of caregivers
everywhere, thank you for your hard work and dedication.
DEADLINE FEBRUARY 28.
